Description

Little piece of gift art because these creatures are so darn cute but I couldn't draw ALL of them so I picked my favourite of Lim's Kysvee, Lief :XD: Made last night before bed, but my internet decided to ditch me so it's only being uploaded now.
Why can't I draw my own OCs in a dynamic way, but others' work just fine?

I was gonna commission a pic of this cutie but no one ever commissions me anymore and the points and money I have left I need to save up for the contest and stuff I owe :'D

Lief belongs to L1M1TL3SS ( Quick side note that lief means kind in Dutch and lover in Flemish c: )
Kysvee species is closed, belongs to Will-O-Wisps not sure if you expect credit
Art and Zeanu belong to me

As with the other pieces you've shown me you can show emotion and tell a story pretty well with your pieces. That's what I think one of your biggest strengths are and you should strive to improve. The rendering is a bit better in this one as it has some more defined and hard edges here and there. The shadows come off seeming a bit too subtle in some areas like around the legs. What that tends to do (sometimes) is make your piece a bit flatter. As for you wanting more dynamic poses I would suggest starting off basic and learning how to draw basic shapes in three dimensions. Shapes like Cubes, spheres, pyramids and the like. What this will do is help you construct bigger pieces later and understand how to really put things into a better perspective. It could help you really define that form. But still other then that the composition is held together well with the addition of the gray circle in the background. Bonus points for that!
