Little blue creature

... Better known as Zeanu, the friendly familiar companion of Neridan. He's 'innocent', mischievous and not the smartest little creature you'll ever meet. Hobbies include following random strangers, freezing up trees and buildings, and hunting pigeons for food, although he doesn't need to eat to survive.

Is it an original species yet?
I seriously feel like this creature is unique enough to become an original species, so now I'm wondering, how overdone is its concept? Is it a good idea to make this original, or would that get too many "omg dats not oreegunal" comments?
